The 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 Mustang is known as the 2nd phase of the 4th generation of Mustangs. They came with both V6 and V8 engines. This generation of Mustang were incredibly popular in their day and their popularity continues to this day. As with all Mustangs, striping them with different decal kits is a very popular way to set one car apart from another.

The GT cowl stripe is one of our more popular kits for this model. It covers the raised hood areas on both sides of either the GT scoop, or the standard model hood indention. The kit will fit all of the models.

The picture below shows you what we send out when you order this kit. We have it with or without the GT cutout. It is an easy to install kit and the wet method is recommended. This involves a spray bottle filled with very very mild soapy water, and a squeegee. Peel the backing off, spray the adhesive side of the decal and the car, and then lay the decal down onto car a slide it into position. The car should be clean and not in the sun or wind. Once in position, squeegee it on and let it dry. Pop any bubbles with a fine needle.
